This station has been totally renovated and features unusual mosaics (see below).

Visuals

Large "Houston Street" and small "H" mosaics. This station features unusual large mosaics installed in 1994. The mosaics are by Deborah Brown, and are collectively entitled Platform Diving; they depict an "underwater subway". On the northbound platform are seals and an underwater platform with various sea creatures waiting for a train. On the soundbound platform are a turtle, a dolphin, an octopus, a squid, and a train filled with sea creature passengers.
