YES, I had to actually take a course on this for my job. I share my classroom knowledge with YOU!(adapted from my employee handbook)

Each of us at (location) is committed to treating all in a very friendly manner at all times. You are expected, as a (location) representative to exhibit the five elements of friendliness each day. These elements are as follows:

Behaviors which hinder

  • not paying attention
  • not acknowledging a person
  • being flip at the expense of a person
  • allowing your personal problems to interfere

It took four hours to learn how to be friendly. I should be the EPITOME of friendly now!
I should be EXCEPTIONALLY FRIENDLY!

I do not see "BE BUBBLY" on list. BE BUBBLY was not shown on the three hours of video I watched in class... Sigh....
