Famed and prolific American lyricist with a career spanning from the 1920's until 1954, when Parkinson's Disease ended his lyric writing for the last 30 years of his life.

Most famous partnership was with Arthur Schwartz, resulting in such standards as Am I Blue?, Something To Remember You By, and possibly Dietz's most famous effort, You and the Night and the Music.
