A movie staring Sean Penn and Michelle Pfieffer. In this film Sam Dawson is mentally disabled and raising his daughter Lucy(Dakota Fanning) with a group of his also disabled friends.

When Lucy turns 7 a social worker decides that she should no longer be living with her father. Sam then hires lawyer Rita Harrison(Pfieffer) to represent him in court. Sam falters on the stand and custody of his daughter is suspended.

This movie is spectacular. It should be seen by all. The acting is all very well done. Even the little girl is convincing and natural on the screen. The director did a wonderful job with putting this together.

The idea was to use original Beatles songs in this film (the little girl, Lucy is quite the Beatles freak). The policy imposed by the Beatles themselves, not licensing to films, prevented this. Instead the producers decided to get other artists to do The Beatles covers. You will find that most of the covers below match the original songs length, due to the movie being sequenced for the originals.
