I was walking downhill on a path that wasn't clear,

with a vague feeling we had just left a familiar building,

but had no idea where the next destination was supposed to be.

Could hear sons arguing about perceived frame rate perception;

heard numbers in the rise and fall of their voices,

as I slowly fell, landing in a significant amount of snow for summer.

The snow was a surprise as I looked at my bare legs and

thought I really need a new pair of sneakers.

My husband was nowhere in sight, yet I felt at peace,

although slightly angered that my sons didn't notice

me laying there in the snow, as they continued the disagreement,

(with flashes of blurred blue jeaned legs),

an art they've perfected since childhood.
