I like silent moments.

I like lying in bed and listening to the still of the house just after the heat kicks off.

I like silent moments.

I like them in movie theatres, where everyone catches their breath and waits to see what happens next.

I like silent moments.

I like that moment when your eye is caught by someone else's and you're instantly attracted to each other, and the sound of the room dissipates. Your heart breathes. Everything comes back again.

I like silent moments.

I like the moment on the dance floor where I've danced long enough that I don't even have to hear the music, my body will just keep going. And I tune everything out and just move.

I like silent moments.

I like sitting in the same room with you, and reading. Not talking. Not thinking. Not doing anything other than breathing and reading.

My Mother says that even as a child, I liked silent moments. That I would bring my coloring book up to the kitchen table and sit with her while she was paying bills, but if someone came in and started yammering on, I would leave. I like silent Moments.
