5 minutes: Briskly then

She left the building and started her way home. Not having a car was going to be difficult, and she would have to figure that out soon in the coming weeks, but fortunately she didn't live too far away.

The sun was on the cusp of setting but it was still bright enough to be a pleasant evening. The air was clean and the clouds were lit in colors that made her forget about the problems in her personal life.

"Sometimes it really is good to be alive," she thought to herself, "if only I didn't have this other crap to deal with."

She took a deep breath to get her mind off of things. It was cooling down and the air hit the back of her lungs like a cold drink.
