I was a young boy that had big plans

The puddle that I splashed in
Would become my ocean

The lego blocks I built with
Would become my world

The race car set I played with
Would become my career

As years went by

The heart that raced
Became the empty container

The mind that was innocent
Became the seat of fear

The body that was strong
Became the withered shell

Now that I reflect

The end might be near
The day might be spent
Hope might flicker to life
