Spur route from
Interstate 81 into
Roanoke,
Virginia. About 6
miles long,
co-signed with
U.S. 220 for its entire length. If the central route for
Interstate 73 is chosen, this highway will become I-73.
One slightly strange thing about this road is that the limited-access highway continues past where I-581 technically ends. 220 remains limited-access for about a mile past the "END 581" sign.
