Former California Highway 7, also known as the Long Beach Freeway.

The 710 Freeway has been unfinished for more than 30 years. The freeway is supposed to go from Long Beach to the stub end where Interstate 210, and SR-134 meet. However, the citizens of South Pasadena have firmly halted any current plans of finishing the route. Personally, I don't like the idea of having a freeway going straight through my neighborhood either. However, the end result is the 1/4th mile stub end in Pasadena and a prematurely ending freeway in Alhambra on Valley Blvd. which has caused nothing but traffic trouble since its completion. CalTrans hopes to see the South Pasadena section built within a decade.
