British General at Upper Canada (Ontario) during the outbreak of hostilities between the USA and Canada during the War of 1812. Before the outbreak of hostilities, Brock suspected that the US might attack Canada and made strategic alliances with Native Peoples and made preparations for an attack. Brock was knighted for capturing Detroit largely through the efforts of Native warriors led by the brilliant Tecumseh. Brock was killed at the Battle of Queenston Heights in 1812.
