Singer, songwriter, actor and virtuoso fingerpicking guitarist.

Originally the protege of the legendary Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed came into his own in the 70s with hits like "Amos Moses", "When You're Hot, You're Hot", "Koko Joe" as well as "East Bound and Down", theme song of Smokey and the Bandit.

Most of his signature songs are characterized by catchy, frenetic guitar hooks coupled with comical, self-deprecating lyrics. A conspicuous number of his songs contain legal imagery (Courtrooms, police officers, judges, etc.)

Has also enjoyed a career as an actor, appearing as Coors-haulin' Snowman in "Smokey and the Bandit", the antagonist of "Survivors", and more recently as Henry Winkler's play-stealing football coach nemesis in the Adam Sandler film "The Waterboy."

Nicknames include: "The Claw" (for his unique fingerpicking technique) and "The Alabama Wildman"
