Canadian Politician and former Prime Minister from 16 June 1891 - 24 November 1892.

Sir John Joseph Caldwell Abbott was Canada's fourth Prime Minister. He was the Conservative successor to Sir John A. Macdonald after Macdonald's death. He was the first Prime Minister to lead the country from the Senate and served a short term from 16 June 1891 until his death 24 November 1892. He was the first Canadian Prime Minister actually born in Canada.
