A guy who deserved more respect in the computer gaming community than he got. (I use the past tense, because he's now getting the aforementioned respect. At least more than he got.)

He started as an advertising copywriter and touring comedian. He joined Sierra On-Line as assistant producer, but spent most of his time writing sarcastic text for any game designer who'd let him.

Most of his work went uncredited, but he is responsible for contributing most of the written text for games such as Space Quest VGA, Space Quest IV, Jones in the Fast Lane, Leisure Suit Larry VGA, etc. In fact, he claims he wrote every single word in the King's Quest VGA remake, but his work went uncredited.

Josh is best recognized these days as the designer of such popular games as Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist (with Al Lowe, of Leisure Suit Larry fame), Space Quest VI: The Spinal Frontier (with Scott Murphy, of previous Space Quest fame), and Callahan's Crosstime Saloon (based on the novels by Spider Robinson).
