Joy Electric began in 1994 as a solo act for Ronnie Martin as a break from his previous endeavors, the original Morella's
Forest and Dance House Children with his brother Jason Martin, and Rainbow Rider with Amy Martin, Jeff Cloud, and
Tom Danielson. His innovative use of synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers carried on through his Melody and Five
Stars For Failure albums until the release of We Are The Music Makers, in which he ingeniusly substituted pure synth
sounds for all drum beats and other musical extras. Jeff Cloud *officially* joined Joy Electric sometime before the
recording of Robot Rock, though he did live concert synths for We Are The Music Makers. Caleb Mannan joined prior to
the recording of Christiansongs
