Kennedy Plaza is considered to be the center of Downtown Providence, Rhode Island It is surrounded by Burnside Park, named after the late Civil War General, to the north. Fleet Bank to the south. The Federal Courthouse to the east, and Providence City Hall to the west. Kennedy plaza is the terminal for all local busses run by the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority.
