Killian's would be the beer that induced the hangover I'm currently experiencing. It's been on sale for $6.99 a 12 pack at the liquor store down the street. That's a bad thing.

Normally I drink watery light beer. Six or eight of those don't hang me over on six hours sleep. Apparently six or eight Killian's do.

Mr. Killian please take your fork out of my right temple.

I'm at the age when I realize the liquor store won't bring her back.

I guess I still have a few years -- a few more big salty tears.

A few facts:

Killian's is brewed by the Coors Brewing Company (woohoo fascist beer!). First distributed in the States in 1981, Killian's was originally brewed in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland in 1864 by George Killian Lett. Killian's is distributed in every state save Hawaii, Indiana, and New York.

4.9% ABV

A red lager, with a rich amber colour and a thick creamy head, available on-tap or bottled.

Brewed since 1864 in Enniscorthy, Ireland

Gold medallist in the 1998 Beer World Cup

163 Calories per 12oz.

Has a faint, sweet, caramely aroma.

This 'Irish' lager, brewed in the US by Coors, didn't strike me immediately as a great beer when I tried it from a tap. But bottled, with a meal. it comes into its own. With just enough sweetness to satisfy the Bud drinkers out there, its unassuming flavour and gentle carbonation aid digestion greatly.

Having said this, I personally wouldn't drink this on its own, or out of choice. It has quite an overwhelming hops presence which, although fine with a meal, I find leaves an unsavoury aftertaste after a while.

Overall, not bad for Coors, but still doesn't come close to a Bass
