This is an alternative version of "God Save the King", as I heard it sung in Colonial Williamsburg. It may have originally been a Boy Scout campfire song

King George he had a date,

He stayed out very late,

He was the king.

Queen Charlotte swept the floor,

King George came in at 4,

She met him at the door --

God save the king!

In all fairness, this behavior is far more applicable to George IV than III, for George III was by all accounts very close to his wife Charlotte. But if this version does originate from the American Revolutionary period, they were not inclined to treat Georgie with any charity after 1776.
