Suburb near Redcliffe, which is an outer suburb of Brisbane, which is the capital city of Queensland, which is a state of Australia.
So named because of the Aboriginal name for the place where they held initiation ceremonies within the Kippa Ring. Tribes from as far south as where Logan now lies and as far north as Noosa would travel to partake in the celebrations.
Kippa Ring is now host to a crap shopping centre and a medium-size cinemaplex thing, and you can go there for drags on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, if you want.
