They were exploring the mundane again. There wasn't much truly new to anything they saw, but it came in fresh combinations and different configurations.
Some things were slightly different, maybe another brand here, a different position there. Though everything was ultimately recognizable, nothing was exactly the same as what they were used to.
Everything was normal, yet everything was different.
It was the smallest things that became interesting, maybe just because of the sheer number of small things that diverged, things that took just a slight tweak or off balance point of view to make it unique.
Nothing was truly exciting, yet it was all so different that in many ways, it was.
