E2 turned out not to be for me:
- timesuck
- didn't get to know anyone personally (my own fault, probably wouldn't happen if I started today)
- frustration at pedantic know-it-alls (for example, I have a special place in my heart that says "fuck you" to Footprints for this)
- frustration at anonymous downvotes to nodes I thought were good. This would have been bearable if it wasn't complemented with watching substanceless, populist tripe voted through the roof (my favorite example of this has always been I will REMOVE the fucking toilet seat if you don't shut up)
I still return periodically to see if I have new messages and read awesome nodes. And there are plenty of those.
I only have one bookmark, so visit it. Now! It is a breathtakingly beautiful story.
