Something I'm sure all of you know how to say during Chinese New Year. It literally means: "Congratulations, Prosper" in Cantonese, but it means: "May the New Year bring you luck and prosperity."

Other variations could be "Gung Hey Fat Choi" just as Bruce Lee changed "Kung Fu" to "Gung Fu" (although not the same meaning as 'Kung Hey Fat Choi').

There are several subsequent sayings that the Chinese like to say, such as:

Kung Hey Fat Choi...

There are many more depending on which region of China or Taiwan you come from. In Cantonese, "Happy New Year" (referring to the Gregorian New Year, but not necesarily) is 'Sun Neen Fai Lok'.
