LACTNET is an international membership email discussion group for lactation professionals. It is not a support group for breastfeeding mothers. It is free and unmoderated.
"Lactation consulting and related issues including research and clinical concerns regarding breastfeeding, are discussed. Currently, lactation consultants, La Leche League leaders, MD's, RN's, RPh's, RD's, social scientists and others participate in LACTNET."
This is a very active listserv with over 4,028 subscribers from over 37 countries. The archives are searchable; digest, individual message or no mail options are available.
This is one of the most useful lists I've ever belonged to. It may be because lactation consulting is my profession but I find this list to be civil, on topic, full of new information and like attending a stimulating workshop on a daily basis.
