LAT, Local Area Transport

LAT is a protocol of DECNET designed to handle multiplexed traffic of terminals with timesharing hosts.

Typically, you would have a terminal server with 8 VT terminals connected to it and the terminal server would communicate with the hosts on the DECNET network with LAT.

To let; to allow.

[Obs.]
