The plain, vanilla version of the Christian Cross as opposed to variants like the Celtic Cross or the Maltese Cross. It consists of a vertical bar crossed by a shorter horizontal bar. The vertical bar bisects the horizontal bar, and the horizontal bar passes near but not at the top of the vertical bar. See Tau Cross and Inverted Cross.
