The Trinity Broadcast Network had a number of fixtures, and while I never watched the channel for more than five seconds at a time, there were a few faces that were truely unique in that grey channel-surfing area between the network television stations. One of the most memorable of these, besides Ernest Angley, was the televangelist Lester Sumrall (1913-1996). The unique thing about him, other than being wholly uninteresting, was that he bore a great resemblance to a dead badger. Now that they continue to show reruns of his preaching, this is truer than ever.
