A semi-mythical Windows registry key that is set to "1" on many PCs without their owners realising it. All ATI graphics chipsets prior to the Radeon had to have this key enabled. It can be found under the tree of the particular hardware manufacturer whose component requires it (e.g. Cyrix, Ati, SiS, Dell), often along with FREEZE_SCREEN_ON_RESOLUTION_SWITCH, SET_DEFAULT_DEVICE_TO_LEAST_APPROPRIATE and RealPlayer's addition to the collection RANDOMLY_FUCK_WITH_VOLUME_SLIDERS.
