Sun was playing through the leaves giving off a light green feeling, the wind gently tugged the branches. Two of us, snickering, watching below. The small walnut tree in the side yard with smooth bark, small ants marching along. The years melted by and it never seemed to grow very much, perpetually the right size to hide in, swing from. A car pulled up, two girls went up the porch steps and knocked on the door, went in. More snickers, jumping down from the branches. We ran giggling up the steps as they came back out looking for us. Silly kids.
