Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere!
These were a great toy from the 80s, brought to us by
Bandai. Based on a Japanese comic book and cartoon, these were (mostly) pink little figures of fantastic wrestlers. By fantastic, of course, I mean that they were sculptures of wrestlers with
extra arms,
eyes,
tentacles, and almost any kind of variation on the theme you can think of. Some wore
masks, some were
robots, some had
horns, some wore
spikes, but they were
all muscle-bound. Some were eventually released that were a color other than pink. They could be bought in packs of four, ten, or twenty-eight for pretty cheap. This, combined with the sheer number of different M.U.S.C.L.E. Men made them second only to
Garbage Pail Kids in popularity among the elementary school students at
Cascade Elementary School. We didn't need no stinking
Pokemon! These were succesful enough to even spawn a
Nintendo game,
M.U.S.C.L.E. Tag Team Match.
