US Army M24 Sniper Weapon System
The M24 is the US Army's standard issue sniper rifle system. Here are the specifics:

The weapon stock is a Kevlar, graphite, fiberglass composite. The lower reciever uses Remington 700 action.
The M24 was fielded (tested in the field) by the US Army in 1988. As it phased in, it replaced the M21 Sniper Rifle System. Snipers using this rifle are expected to deliver accurate fire up to 800 meters.
