I used to live in Birkenhead, which is about 10 kilometers south of Liverpool, across the Mersey(yes, yes, don't sing that song. Anyway, this is a place where people still sing in bars. This is a pretty popular tune, but I didn't know the words until years after I first heard it, because,
being drunk + having a Scouse accent = incoherent.
