The Maharaja Mac or is a mutton patty-based sandwich on the menus of McDonald's in India. The Chicken Maharaja Mac (chicken patty based) is also available. It is the signature sandwich on the menu and sold more than 350,000 of them in the first year of McDonald's operation in India. In December 2000, it sold for 19 rupees.
The McDonald's menu in India has no beef or pork products as to be edible to Hindus and Muslims.
