Canadian singer and musician. She grew up in Ontario and Quebec but has family ties to Nova Scotia and the Cape Breton area.

Her music consists of traditional Scots Gaelic tunes and lyrics, but often arranged in unlikely modern/upbeat ways. (She occasionally uses more "traditional" arrangements as well.)

Besides her own albums, the last two (and most popular) being 1997's "Suas e!" and 1999's "Làn Dùil", she is most well-known (at least here in Canada) for her collaboration with Ashley MacIsaac on the song Sleepy Maggie, for which she sang the Scots Gaelic lyrics.
