Another trick from the repertoire of the Massachusetts driving style. To turn left onto or drive across a busy street,
- Wait for a break in traffic on your side of the street.
- Pull halfway across the street, blocking traffic on one side.
- Wait for a break in traffic in the other lane. This should come quicker, since the massholes in the other lane feel, by not letting you in, that they are holding up traffic.
- Pull into the other lane, or cross the street.
This is almost certainly
illegal, but a common sight on busy 2-lane streets in
Massachusetts. DO NOT be
intimidated if you are in the second lane and someone else is pulling this stunt; simply drive by slowly and
grin at them.
