In truth, I have added nothing;
All the meanings were already there;
And this is what they always meant.

All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.

And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, You blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for You from the foundation of the world:
For I was hungry and You gave Me food; I was thirsty and You gave Me drink; I was a stranger and You took Me in;

I was an immigrant, and You welcomed Me into Your country;

I was a racial or ethnic minority, and You shielded Me from bigotry; I was a woman, and You treated Me as an equal;

I was naked and You clothed Me; I was sick and You visited Me; I was in prison and You came to Me;

I was homosexual and You let Me love and marry, in accordance with My nature;

I was stricken with a terminal disease, and You assisted Me in ending My life with dignity;

I was a wild animal and You let Me go unwounded; I was a domesticated animal and You let Me go unslaughtered;

I was the Earth and Sky, and You prevented Me from being pierced for coal and oil, and You prevented Me from being polluted by the burning of them.’

Then the righteous will answer Him:
‘Lord, when did We see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

When did We see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

Or when did We see You an immigrant, and welcomed You into our country?

Or when did We see You a racial or ethnic minority, and shield You from bigotry; or a woman, and treated You as an equal?

Or when did We see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?

Or when did We see You being homosexual, and let You love and marry in accordance with Your nature?

Or when did We see You stricken with a terminal disease, and assisted You in ending Your life with dignity?

Or when did We see You a wild animal, and let You go unwounded; or a domesticated animal and let You go unslaughtered?

Or when did We see You as the Earth and Sky, and prevent You from being pierced for coal and oil or prevent You from being polluted by the burning of them?’

And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as You did it to one of the least of these My brethren (and sistren), You did it to Me.’

Then He will also say to those on the left hand:
‘Depart from Me, You cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

For I was hungry and You gave Me no food; I was thirsty and You gave Me no drink;

I was an immigrant, and You did not welcome Me into Your country;

I was a racial or ethnic minority, and You did not shield Me from bigotry; I was a woman, and You did not treat Me as an equal;

I was a stranger and You did not take Me in, naked and You did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and You did not visit Me;

I was homosexual and You did not let Me love and marry in accordance with My nature;

I was stricken with a terminal disease, and You did not assist Me in ending My life with dignity;

I was a wild animal and You wounded Me for sport; I was a domesticated animal and You slaughtered Me;

I was the Earth and Sky, and You did not prevent Me from being pierced for coal and oil or polluted by the burning of them.’

Then they too will answer Him:
‘Lord, when did We see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or an immigrant or naked or sick or in prison, and did not assist You?

When did We see You a racial or ethnic minority, and not shield You from bigotry; When did We see You a woman, and not treat You as an equal?

When did We see You being homosexual and not let You love and marry?

When did We see You stricken with a terminal disease, and not assist You in ending Your life with dignity?

When did We see You a wild animal and wound You for sport; When did We see You a domesticated animal and slaughter You?

When did We see You as the Earth and Sky, and not prevent You from being pierced for coal and oil, and polluted by the burning of them?’

Then He will answer them: ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as You did not do it to one of the least of these, You did not do it to Me.’

And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
