McClelland and Stewart

Canada's greatest book publishing house.

Origin:
Established in Toronto in 1906 as McClelland and Goodchild, it was originally a library supply house. Its first published book was actually written by an American, John D. Rockefeller. In 1911, Canada's greatest Bible salesman, George Stewart, joined. In 1918, Fred Goodchild departed, and the company became McClelland and Stewart.
