Born on June 3rd, 1950, Melissa Mathison was Harrison Ford's wife until they recently divorced. She has done several large movies from a production standpoint. She was the screen writer for E.T., and worked on other such projects as the controvercial Kundun (about the Dalai Lama), Apocolypse Now, Twilight Zone: the movie, and The Indian in the Cupboard movie. She has gone under the psuedonym Josh Rogan, in the past. As an interesting bit of trivia, Melissa used to babysit for Francis Ford Coppola's children.

She now works for world rights (especially those in Tibet), based mainly off her experiences in making the Kundun movie.
