A version of "meat calf", it could mean a herdsman, a slaughterer, or someone with a "sleek appearance".

I can just think of a mother, talking about a son with a bit of chub. "Oh, you're just Mummy's little meat calf, you are."

He never thinks about the more sinister parts of this...
