Discovered Boyz II Men and produced most of their first album cooleyhighharmony. Boyz II Men (and the fruits of their subsequent success) were stolen from him by some of the better known producers after the underground success of their album. Coolihiharmony was later re-recorded and re-released with the same title but a slightly different track listing. On this "new" album, some of the more funky tracks were taken off and replaced with more radio-friendly fluff.
Bivins went on to form Biv 10 Entertainment. He discovered and produced ABC (Another Bad Creation) who had a hit with their single Aiesha. He went on to release a compilation album with tracks from all of his numerous proteges called The East Coast Family Vol 1
