One of the many varieties of Pepperidge Farm Distinctive Cookies.

Milano cookies are ovals two inches long, 1 inch wide, and about half an inch thick. They are made of two vanilla cookies that sandwich a thin chocolate center. The cookies themselves are like ladyfingers - not too hard, but not too soft.

Although the original is delicious enough, there are a number of variants. These include orange, raspberry, and mint (which all have these flavors incorporated in the chocolate center), double chocolate, and Endless Chocolate, the last of which is distinguished by the fact that the cookie portion also is chocolate flavored.

Most advertisements of Pepperidge Farm Distinctive Cookies only specifically name Milano cookies while referring to all the other varieties as "Distinctive Cookies". As in, "Try our delicious Milano and other Distinctive Cookies".

I imagine the sales of Milano cookies far outstrip the others.
