Now the weird thing is that
Nestle seems to own, or at least have substantial
equity in, the country of
Malaysia.
Where most western countries have coffee, tea and hot chocolate, Malaysia has Kopi O, Teh Tarik and Milo Ais.
As one would suspect, Milo Ais is Bahasa Melayu for "Iced Milo". In the past it was always pronounced "Mee-lo", but the western pronunciation of "My-Lo" is becoming more common of late.
The drink itself is simply a few spoons of Milo, mixed with UHT milk (fresh milk in Malaysia is usually either unavailable or rancid), and served with ice.
