grunge, despite their
location and
friends), made up of
Andrew Wood
(vocals), Greg Gilmore (drums), Bruce Fairweather (guitar), Stone Gossard (guitar, ex-
Green River, now of
Pearl Jam) and Jeff Ament (bass, ex-Green River, now of Pearl Jam). Released an
EP,
Shine, and then Andrew Wood
overdosed on
heroin in March
1990 around the time the band's first
album Apple was released. The EP and album are now available on a combined
CD.
The Temple of the Dog album is a tribute to Wood (with Stone and Jeff playing on it, along with members of Soundgarden).
