Mount Shuksan is located directly adjacent to Mount Baker, in the North Cascades of
Washington. Due to it's unusual shape, it is considered the most photographed mountain in
Washington, next to
Mount Rainier.
At a height of 9,127 feet, it is one of the highest non-volcanic peaks in the North Cascades National Park Complex. It's routes are typically very difficult, though there is at least one route that is "just" glacier travel.
When you are skiing or boarding at Mount Baker you can stare at it all day long, and watch avalanches fall down it's North face.
