My Close Friend, My Friend on Facebook

Been ten years now, the time we're apart,
There's lil' anything we now yet discuss.
Just how ya doin' now and all that usual fuss,
Yet both our lives there's nothing fresh a-start'd.

My Facebook regards you of me a friend,
Among the hundreds of friends we haven't yet met;
Since a hundred friends we'd then have to chat,
Our hundred friends we treat like fans.

Sometimes, my pal, I wonder what had changed;
Was it unavoidable, or were we to blame.
There's no more bonhomme now. Just pleasure and ego.

Sometime, I know, we've become estranged,
But now we're on-line, and we don't have to flame.
There's lots we can learn, if only we'd grow.
