The National Australia Bank (aka "The National" and "NAB"), is one of the "big-3" banks in Australia. At the time of writing, their strapline is Tailored Financial Solutions.

The NAB, at the time of writing, claims over twelve million customers, has an asset base of two hundred and fifty billion Australian Dollars, and has over four hundred billion Australian Dollars under management. The NAB is one of the top fifty banks in the world, and is one of the three largest companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

The NAB was first established in the southern Australian state of Victoria in the year 1858 as The National Bank of Australasia. This early institution merged with the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney in 1981 to form what is now the National Australia Bank.
