Network Appliance is a company delivering network storage and caching solutions for Unix, Windows, and Web. They are probably most known for their WAFL (Write Anywhere File Layout).

A network appliance in general is a "plug and play" networking device, generally used by smaller organisations, or by large ISPs, such as the Cobalt Networks Raq. They generally provide a good power/space ratio.
