The New Adventures of Bobbin is a webcomic drawn and coloured by a Singaporean teenager by the name of Joycelyn Yik.
It chronicles the adventures of Bobbin and Jane, two 17-year-old best friends as they grow up in the fast-paced city-state of Singapore. Interestingly, several readers have commented that the situations are so typical of college students that they would apply to any two teenagers.
Though on occasion, the webcomic turns into a vehicle for social commentary but most of the time, it's simply good, clean fun. Okay, maybe not clean fun. Bobbin has this nasty habit of outgrowing the Asian female stereotype.
