The Fairlady Z line of automobiles, also known as Z-cars, were (and still are) top-class sports cars manufactured by Nissan from 1970 until the present date (sold as Datsuns in the United States up until 1984, after which point they were manufactured under the Nissan name); specifically, the 240Z, 260Z, 280ZX, 300ZX, and, most recently the 350Z. So, if you ever hear someone yell "nice Z!", be proud; either you drive an awesome car, or you're really close to someone who does. Or Zorro attacked you while you weren't looking, and tore up one of your best shirts.

A minor note: The number preceding the Z has always referred to the displacement of the engine. The 240Z used a 2.4-liter engine, the 300ZX used a 3.0-liter, et cetera.
