I try to change a little every day And not waste all my time in faffing round But so far I just haven't found a way To keep my feet both planted on the ground. Obsessions have me frittering away The hours that soon stretch out into weeks. I try to keep my wasteful drives at bay; I know the troughs are broader than the peaks. A voice from somewhere deep inside me speaks: 'Just press that shiny button one more time' And so I push it, knowing that I'm weak Each pointless press a self-abusing crime. It's time for me to really take control And dig my way out from my own black hole.
