Porn magazine for lesbians, by lesbians. Does not feature big hair or fake-breasted women. The title is a parody of feminist periodical "off our backs", which doesn't like the takeoff. Susie Bright was one of the early editors, after being consulted by the women who came up with the idea, Debi Sundahl and Myrna Elana.

On Our Backs ceased print publications in 2006, along with its sister magazine Girlfriends. Both were sold to Velvet Park Publishing, which gave former OOB/Girlfriends subscribers a one-year subscription to Velvet Park magazine.
